Being at the right place at the right time with a camera

•February 1, 2010 • 1 Comment

I received my first camera when I was 10, much of the time since then I’ve carried a camera with me when ever I go. Many times through the years I’ve been at the right place at the right time this was one of those times. As I was driving past Lake Zurich on a windy cold day. I spent a glorious hour shooting freezing to the bone. I was so excited about the images I was creating I did not notice the below 0 temp.

I had the pleasure of creating portraits of Joseph Franco classical guitar extraordinaire

•January 27, 2010 • Leave a Comment

I had the pleasure of creating portraits of Joseph Franco Classical Guitar extraordinaire.    When I first  met Jozy I looked into his eyes saw bright young man brimming with passion and high expectations for his life. His love for his craft was evident. I was so fortunate to get my own personal concert in my camera room as we captured these images. He shared with me how he studied in Granada, Spain with Jorge “el Pisao” and Marcos Palometas and played with Eduardo Mandujano. I am looking forward to following his career as he continues with his musical journey.

“Hope 4 Bridget”

•January 1, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Engaged in the fight against Late Infantile Batten Disease.

Recently, I have had the privilege of photographing Bridgett Kennicott and her family. I’m humbled and inspired not only Bridgett but by Sarah, David and Harrison Kennicott as well They have risen to the occasion in their fight against Batton disease by founding Hope 4 Bridget, a non profit organization.

“I was fortunate to make a connection with Bridget During  our photo session.  As I was kneeling behind my camera, focusing on her when she walked over to me with her arms reaching out she gave me a tight hug I will never forget”.
