Philanthropic Adventures

“Souls Beneath and Beyond Autism” is book that is committed to portraying individuals with autism from the inside out. Through the mediums of photography and writing, Souls will educate and inspire those who receive it by breaking apart stereotypes associated with autism while illustrating the transforming power of love. It touches on the collective human experiences of suffering and redemption while showing a pathway to a profoundly higher ground of understanding and acceptance. The greater purpose, beyond autism, is the universal massage that from the depths of darkness, often we find the greatest enlightenment. The individual with autism is a beautiful metaphor for this belief. SOULS: BENEATH & BEYOND AUTISM (paperback version) (9780072967845): Sharon Rosenbloom, Thomas Balsamo: Books

“i have a voice” With GiGi’s Playhouse

I have a voice

Traveling Gallery show and upcoming book. To see a world through eyes that don’t judge. To love with hearts that don’t discriminate. To look at people for who they are. And accept them for simply that. This is how children and adults with Down syndrome see the world. They each have a voice. To be shared. To be celebrated. To be heard. GiGi’s Playhouse and i have a voice are based on a series ofmiracles that happen every day. And none is greater than the continued support of the         generous souls who believe in our message and share our vision.

My Client Karen Boccabella approached me to create some images for the Cystic Fibrosis foundation. I was impressed Kim Mills the director. It was a joy working the families and individuals dealing with Cystic Fibrosis.

Holy Family Lutheran School
My incredible day at Holy Family Lutheran School. Mary Anderson a dear friend who has for years has been dedicated to teaching and serving the children recruited me to create some images for the school years ago. This was my third visit this time I had the privilege to tour the beautiful new facility. It was an incredible day I really enjoyed the experience including the great Soul Food lunch that Mary treated me to after the shoot. I hope you enjoy the images  .

Evans Life Foundation

Founded by Greg and Pat Samata. Greg was one of my early clients he commissioned me to do some shooting and custom printing for Samata Design back in the mid 70’s when we both were starting out. I am thankful to have had Greg’s support and friendship in my developmental days of finding my self as a Portrait Artist. In 1995 Greg and Pat Founded Evans Life foundation. I was privileged to capture some images for them to raise money for children at risk. It was an incredible day I had a bus load of children come from chicago to my Studio. I will never forget the experience.
